B-day party+Labor induction+Football

It's been a busy week, so I'm just now getting around to writing about last weekend.  My brother turned 31, so we went out to see him on Sunday to celebrate his birthday.  My sister-in-law (my brother's wife) is at the end of her pregnancy, so I offered to cook something spicy for them. My SIL is at the point of her pregnancy where she is just done, so I thought I could kill two birds with one stone...nice dinner for my brother and potential labor induction for her, HA!

I cooked creamy Cajun chicken pasta.  I got the recipe from a blog that I love that has awesome recipes (with a lot of pictures to follow along with!). It was also the first Sunday of the football season, so Mia wore her Dallas Cowboy's dress to support her daddy's team.

I had a lot of fun cooking with my family, I did not really start cooking until Mia was born.  I figured I can't sustain her on breast milk her whole life, so I better figure it out!  With the help of some blogs and experimenting I am starting to get the hang of it

While we cooked, Mia played with her aunt, uncle, and cousins.  My nieces were playing dress up when we first arrived, so cute!

Once my oldest niece came back from cheer practice it was time to eat and have cake.

This cake was massive, extremely rich, and absolutely delicious!
Happy birthday Mark!
My brother and SIL (with baby Amelia due anytime now!)
Mia was not feeling her cheerios at dinner time, so my SIL came to the rescue.  She chopped up an apple and made some applesauce like a boss!  It was more flavorful than the applesauce in the jar and Mia had the best reaction EVER to it!  We definitely should have captured that on video.  Mia also sucked on a cucumber for dinner, but I think she was using it more as a teether.

We are still awaiting baby Amelia's arrival.  We are so excited for a new niece and a baby cousin for Mia!  And hopefully the Cowboys will have a better game this weekend!
