Mia is 9 months old!
Do you see Mia showing off her pincer grasp on the elephant's tusk, HA!

Sleeping
Once Mia's 2 bottom teeth cut through, her sleep improved. She still wakes up to eat about 1-2 times at night, but for the most part she is sleeping from 11 pm - 9 am (Mia and I are night owls).

Favorite activities
  • Pulling up onto objects and cruising
  • Watching the dogs and petting them
  • Bath-time and splashing around
  • Gnawing on her banana toothbrush
Not so favorite things
  • The bulb syringe/Nosefrida
  • Motrin (she hates the strong berry flavor)
  • The car seat
  • The mirror over her car seat (we took this down and she has been better in the car, who knew!)
Milestones this month
  • She has 2 teeth on the bottom
  • She cruises all over the place
  • She stands unassisted for several seconds
  • She is babbling more with more variation in her consonants
  • She says "Mama" and  "Dada"
  • She is starting to have some separation anxiety
  • She plays with us (hands us toys, engages us to play peek a boo, etc.)
  • She has a good pincer grasp
Personality
Mia really showed her attitude this month. She has very expressive facial expressions and will let you know when she is not happy with you. She likes being outside and going on walks, but don't even think about setting her down on the grass! She likes the outdoors, she just does not want to touch the outdoors. Mia is doing more independent play and likes banging her toys and knocking down towers. She is as sweet as can be, until you put her down outside.
