Just breathe, Mama bird: 11-month update

Here is what Mia has been up to these days...

Her 11-month stats: No doctor visit until she is 1

Eating

Mia is breastfed and is still nursing.

New foods she has eaten
Grapes
Cheese
Kale
French fries
Scrambled and boiled eggs
Egg and potato casserole
Bacon (thanks to my brother)
Pesto tomato pizza
Beef (roast, brisket, and ground)
Avocado
Tortillas
Green bell pepper
Cauliflower
Chicken tortellini
Creamy Cajun chicken pasta (we rinsed most of the sauce off) --> she loved this stuff!
Yogurt
Chicken tortilla soup (the chicken and the black beans)
Chips (thanks to her daddy)
Buttered toast
Green juice (celery, cucumber, green apple, ginger root, kale, and lemon)

Sleeping

She still wakes up to eat about 1-2 times at night, but for the most part she is sleeping from 11 pm - 10 am (Mia and I are night owls).

Favorite activities

Dancing (to mainly rap music)
Chasing the dogs around to pet them
Exploring the house and getting into everything
Playing with all her new toys from Christmas
Trying to break out of her room and crawl as fast as she can down the hallway

Not so favorite things

Being in her car seat at night (I think she is scared of the dark)
The vacuum
Sitting still/getting her diaper changed

Milestones this month

She has 6 teeth total (4 on the top and 2 on the bottom)
She dances to anything (including TV show's theme songs)
She stands alone and will take steps with assistance
She says bye-bye and waves
She has been throwing tantrums!

Personality

Mia started throwing tantrums this month. She arches her back when you pick her up when she does not want to be picked up. I really thought this was toddler behavior, and I am pretty sure I still have 1 more month of having an infant?!? She will also throw herself down to the ground and "fake cry." I cannot wait to see what we have in store for us when she is actually a toddler! This girl is such a mess, HA! On a more positive note, she still loves to dance, especially to rap music. When I was pregnant with her, she moved the most to rap music then as well...it must be the beat. #parentsoftheyear
