Mia's first Christmas

Can you believe Christmas is already over? Christmas is always such a whirlwind, it always comes and goes too quickly!

On Christmas eve eve, Mia and I went to my brother's church for a candlelight service. She loved the music and was even dancing at one point. She also really enjoyed the candles and tried to grab a flame. I had never been to one of their candlelight services and I am so glad we went, it was beautiful!

My mom kept Mia preoccupied with her water bottle

On Christmas eve, we usually go to my Grammy's house, but I had to work. When we were at the arboretum (read about that here), Grammy gave us our gifts, so we let Mia open those gifts on Christmas eve. It was the first gift Mia had ever opened.

She was more interested in the bags and tissue paper, HA!

Mike and Mia went to my in-laws house later in the evening to celebrate with them. While I was at work, my mother-in-law sent me pictures of Mia in her new coat, such a cutie.

This is her new thing, scrunching up her nose to smile!

These pajamas are her daddy's old Christmas pajamas!
On Christmas morning, I got home and we all got ready to head out to my brother and SIL's house for Christmas breakfast. My brother made a yummy bacon, egg, and potato casserole. After breakfast we opened gifts.

The kids lined up ready to open gifts

After my brother's house, we headed to my Uncle and Aunt's house for lunch. We had Indian, Mexican (tamales), Vietnamese, and American food. It's the first time we've had such an assortment of food, but it fits our diverse family.

Once the adults were in a food coma and the babies woke up, we opened more presents.

After Mia was done eating, I changed her into her Christmas dress and bow (that she kept on for about 30 seconds)

We have been taking this stairwell picture for the past several years. Our family keeps growing and the stairs are obviously getting smaller!

When we got home, I crashed...hard (I was up for about 32 hours). I did not wake up until about 8 pm, which is when we opened gifts at our house.

Mia is a blessed little girl and we are blessed to have such an awesome family. Thank you to everyone who made Mia's first Christmas so special! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and has a great New Year!
