Let's jump into December! Here are the month's random pictures:
This sleeping position never stops being cute
I just had to get her a Norwex mop of her own!
Can I tell you how much I HATE these red leaves! Gah!
I'm definitely capitalizing on this helping stage
My mom invited me to her company party at the Arboretum, since my step-dad was working. I am so glad I was able to go, it was so much fun and they really pulled out all the stops! They rented the beautiful white house that sits on top of the hill that overlooks White Rock Lake. If you've ever been to the Arboretum and had a picnic on the hill, it's the house on the top of the hill! It was beautiful with fancy hors d'oeuvres and wine! Plus no one seemed interested in touring the 12 days of Christmas exhibit...so we basically had the place to ourselves since it was closed off to the public! We went to this exhibit last year as well, read about that here. It was a lot of fun!
It has become a tradition to go see the Vitruvian Lights at Christmas time. It you haven't gone, you should definitely check them out in Addison! They are beautiful! Mia loved seeing all of the lights and was naming the different colors. When it was time to leave she said "bye lights" in a sad voice. Ha!
Christmas Eve - We went to spend the night at my mother and father in law's house. They had a party that night, but Mia and I checked out around the time the party started. We woke up early the next morning, opened gifts and headed out to start hopping from house to house.
My SIL and baby niece
My sister...can you tell? Ha!
My step-mom and SIL...this was NOT planned, HA!
Mia hanging out with her uncle and cousins
Stop # 3 - Our third stop was my Uncle and Aunt's house. We ate lunch, hung out, and opened gifts with my mom's side of the family.
Our annual stairwell picture!
Our final stop was home! We hadn't been there for about 24 hours, so we were exhausted and ready to go to bed! Let's just say Santa came to put together Mia's kitchen that weekend, HA! She had plenty of other toys to play with in the mean time!
This is actually a "live" photo and she's saying "water!"
New Year's Eve - We went to my brother and SIL's house to deliver a Chicago style pizza I owed them (if you like Chicago style pizza, check out Taste of Chicago in Addison!) Mia played with her cousins for a bit and we headed home before the crazies came out. When we got home my SIL, Mia and I stayed up until midnight. Mikol was fast asleep by 9 pm...he's on the wrong side of 30, haha!
Thank you for reading...stay tuned for January!
