It's been a minute (Part 4 -- April 2019)

Believe it or not, I am trying to get this blog caught back up. I recapped 2016 and 2017 in this blog post. I recapped 2018 in this blog post. I recapped January - March 2019 in this blog post. Now I am going to recap April 2019, the month we added a new baby girl to our family!!

April 2019 Recap:

Zoe Marley Timsah arrived April 9th, 2019 at 6:06 am weighing 7 lb 15 oz and was 20.5 inches long. Her labor was HARD, but once she was in my arms, none of that mattered anymore. I will do a separate post of her birth story (found here).

Eeek! Look at those faces! Mia has been wanting a baby sister since she was 2.5 years old!! They had matching shirts/onesies.

Hospital Visitors

With Mia, I was anxious to go home from the hospital and I left a day earlier than usual. Once I got home, the reality quickly hit me and I longed to go back to the hospital where they at least brought me food, HA! I did not rush leaving the hospital this time. Mike went home at night to be with Mia and to oversee the renovations at the house the next morning. They tried to get as much done as possible before we got home. So it was for the most part just Zoe and I at the hospital. I LOVED it. I knew as a second born child, Zoe would always have to compete for my attention, so having that time with just the two of us was so precious.

Going home from the hospital!! So...brining your baby home to a home renovation is definitely not advised. They had just stained some of the doors and the smell was very strong. I immediately started crying and took her as far away from the doors as possible and opened all of the windows. We took a break from the renovations after that for some time because it was all too much, especially with all of the postpartum hormones that come along with it. 😐

So many cuddles!!

A week after she was born, I turned 32! SO thankful she came before my birthday!

Easter 2019

Zoe's first chiropractic adjustment at The Nest in Addison. She came along to PLENTY of my adjustments in utero and it was finally her turn. Zoe also had pretty bad reflux, so I was trying to nip that in the bud ASAP. She's a tough girl and would just suck harder to try to get past the pain when she would reflux.

Two weeks after Zoe made her entrance, my sister, Rachel got married! This is from from her wedding Rehearsal!

Rachel's Wedding!! Mia was a flower girl. It was such a fun and heartwarming wedding! It was also a great opportunity for Zoe to meet a lot of her San Antonio family.
