About me and the blog's title

About me: I am a new mother to a beautiful baby girl and created this blog as a way to keep a journal of our time together and the adventures we have.  I married my high school sweetheart almost three years ago and we started growing our family with our precious daughter.  I am a pediatric nurse and will be going back to work part-time after my maternity leave ends.  We also have two dogs, Grace and Yogi (our original fur babies). 

The blog’s title: I breastfeed my daughter and one of the cutest things she does is rooting around for my nipple like a little baby bird.  She is my little baby bird and if she’s a bird, I’m a bird!  The just breathe portion of the title has several meanings 1) I love the phrase, 2) I am a respiratory, pediatric nurse, 3) I have always lived a stressful life and have to frequently remind myself to live in the moment and just breathe, and 4) I want to use this blog to do just that! 

I am not quite sure where this blog will lead or what subjects will be discussed, but that is part of the fun of it all.  I hope you enjoy!
