I
cannot believe my baby is almost 3 months old!
I am not sure where the time has gone and this milestone means that my
maternity leave is coming to an end. I
know I will be a hot mess on my first day back to work and I will probably cry
the entire ride there. However, this past weekend
was my last weekend of maternity leave, so we tried to make the most of
it.
On
Friday, we had a low-key day with a lot of cuddling and playing. Perfect kind of day in my book.
On
Saturday, we went to my brother’s house to celebrate the April birthdays and reveal
the gender of their baby due to arrive in October. It was great to spend time with my family and
celebrate all of the April birthdays, including my niece, dad, brother-in-law,
and mine! Like every good birthday party,
it consisted of yummy food, fun gifts, and quality time with family. Plus, my sister is in cosmetology school, so
I got my hair done during the party just for fun!
As for the big gender reveal, my brother and
sister-in-law announced they will be having their third baby GIRL! It looks like we are turning into a family of
all GIRLS! Either way I am so excited to
welcome a new niece to the family and for Mia to have a little baby
cousin!
My oldest niece (the birthday girl) turned 7!
My step-mom, sister, and Mia
Uncle Preston (my youngest brother) with our two nieces.
We all went in our her gift, a Tumbl trak octagon tumbler (purple thing), to help her with her back handsprings!
My sister-in-law, who is expecting her third daughter in October
My aunt and cousin (Mia is staring at the ceiling fan, like always)
My
step-mom also brought Mia's completed custom pillows for her nursery. We changed our minds about Mia's name
numerous times, so she wanted to make sure Mia was going to stick before having
the "M" embroidered on the pillow.
It was well worth the wait, I love how it turned out!
On top of that, she surprised us with a lovey for Mia! It is the cutest little blankie with ribbon on the edges for her to hold on to and a soft, minky fabric on the back that matches her custom changing pad cover and boppy pillow cover. I love it and so does Mia!

On
Sunday, we spent time doing some yard work, which Mia loved, since that meant we
got to be outside.
Later
on in the evening, we went for a walk without
the car seat adapter in the stroller. It
was the first time Mia was in her stroller like a big girl, it is crazy how big
she is already!
She does not look happy, but she loves going on walks and looking at everything
Although
I am dreading going back to work and leaving my baby bird, I am so grateful
that it will be part-time and that she will be staying with her daddy while I
am gone.
