I LOVE holidays and I have been fortunate enough to have younger
siblings and nieces to keep things fun and interesting. Now I am so excited to partake in the kid’s
festivities with my daughter!
On Easter morning, we woke up and let Mia open her Easter
basket. I have had her Easter basket
ready for weeks in anticipation. I was
not sure what to put in it, but I eventually decided on this:
The basket included:
- Freddie the firefly- A toy that can be attached to a play mat, a car seat, or stroller. This is by far her favorite gift from Easter. She just stared at him smiling and then went to grab the rings and laughed when she got ahold of them. SO CUTE!
- Happy Easter, Mouse- I loved the If you give a mouse a cookie series growing up, so I jumped on this book when I saw it. I love reading and want to include books with gifts to get Mia excited about reading as well.
- Wrist rattles- Mia recently noticed her feet, but has not
noticed her hands yet. She
sucksgnaws on her hands, but does not look at them, so I wanted to try to help her out with these. - Somebunny Loves Me PJs- Because cute, themed pajamas are a must have!
Later that afternoon, we went to my mom’s house to spend
some time with (a small part) of my family.
My husband and I have GIANT families, so seeing everyone for Easter just
is not possible. The rest of the day was
spent eating, hanging out, and passing Mia around.
I cannot wait until she is older and is able to participate in
more Easter activities (egg decorating, egg hunts, actually opening her basket, etc.). Also, I have been very protective of her being in crowds during the cold/flu
season, so hopefully next year we can actually go to Church in the morning as
well!
