Just breathe, Mama bird: 6-month update

Mia is 6 months old!

Here is what Mia has been up to these days...

Her 6-month stats: will update once we go to the doctor...

Eating

Mia is breastfed and eats every 2-3 hours during the day. Daddy has figured out the trick to getting her to take the bottle without a fight is to let her hold it, miss independent!

We started solids on Sunday...look out for a post of that experience!

Sleeping

We got over the sleep regression bout, YAY, you can read about that here. She usually falls asleep sometime around 10-11 pm and has been sleeping 6-8 hours.

Bedtime routine
Our nighttime routine includes a bath, a quick massage with lotion, and one last feed before being put down for the night.

Favorite activities

Rolling and scooting around
Chewing on tags, she LOVES tags!
Yelling/babbling
Gnawing on her Sophie teethers (or anything readily available)
Jumping in her jumper
Sitting up
Watching Grace and Yogi (our dogs)
Bath-time and splashing around

Not so favorite things

The bulb syringe
The car seat (she is getting better; we bought her a pad to try to keep her cool while she is in it)
Being covered while breastfeeding (she is either too hot, gets distracted by the cover, or tries to pull it off)

Milestones this month

She sits up independently
She gets up on all fours and rocks
She does 360s on her belly and scoots around
She goes from sitting up to her belly
She goes from laying on her boppy to sitting up
She has found her voice and yells for fun (she thinks it's hilarious)
She says "Mama"

Personality

Mia really found her voice this month and has been experimenting with different sounds. She has been cracking herself up with her various sounds, too stinking cute! She continues to show that she knows what she wants and wants to do it herself! Her personality is starting to show, and she may look like her daddy, but she has her mommy's personality!
