March
Um...March was awful. Haha! What a great start to our recap, but in all seriousness, Mia and I both had an awful GI bug that lasted a total of 10 days. I actually ended up in the ER for dehydration and had to get 3 liters of fluid! It was pretty awful.
Funny side story: I went to the ER around 10:30 pm while Mia was already asleep (and it was raining) so we didn't want to wake her up or bring her out in the rain. AND my mental status had already been altered from the dehydration so driving myself was out...so I ubererd to the ER, haha! That poor driver sped the whole way there, he wasn't going to have some lady who looked like death die in his car! ; )
P.S. I spared you guys from the more graphic pictures (you know I have them!)...you're welcome! ; )
We had a lot of cuddle time on the couch and we played with the filters on snapchat to pass the time, ha!
After all of that craziness was over, the month got a lot better! We got Mia's Spring pictures back and they were absolutely adorable! She took them at my MIL's daycare where Mia had her 2nd birthday party, read about there here!
Easter:
I had to work on Easter, but the day before, we went to a Spring Fest with my mom. Mia had a lot of fun! It was an event with a lot of firsts for Mia: she had her first lollipop (thanks Mr. Fireman...she's now addicted, ha!), her first time in a bounce house, and she got her first balloon animal.
| Leave it to Mia to find the one dog there! |
That night the Easter bunny came and we gave Mia her Easter basket early.
On Easter Sunday, Mike and Mia went to my MIL's church and had Easter dinner over there while I stayed home to sleep for work. : ( Mike was in charge of pictures on Easter, so of course I got ONE picture...and she doesn't even have pants on, haha!
The end of March also meant the end of the time we had living with our "Marsha." Marsha is what Mia calls my SIL, Samirah. We're not sure how that happened, but it's cute and it stuck. We took Samirah out to dinner before she left the state to move to Philadelphia. We miss our Marsha, but I'm glad she was able to spend the first two years of Mia's life with us. Marsha being here was such a priceless gift we got!
And here are some more pictures from the month for your viewing pleasure:
Stay tuned for April...
