In June, Mia had her first dentist exam. Mia was WAY more interested in playing with the Mega Bloks than cooperating with her dentist exam. She absolutely refused to even open her mouth for the dentist, so it was kind of a waste. So I rewarded her with a trip to the park! Sike, I really just needed to justify getting out of our pajamas for the day. ; )
Mia LOVES water! She wants to "wash" her hands all day as an excuse to play in it and she recently said that she is a mermaid, but she "doesn't have a tail." So Mike and I were researching water and sand tables and decided we should just make our own. We got inspiration from several blogs, but decided on this one. She plays with this table all of the time and I love how easy it is to move around, since it's just PVC pipe and storage containers. We now leave the sand container outside...lesson learned!
Meal planning has never been my strong suit and I feel like it causes us to eat out more often costing us a lot of money. So we decided to try out a meal delivery service, Home Chef. We had a coupon for $30 off the first delivery, so why not?! We got 3 meals (for 2) for $30! I think I might do an entire blog post about this because it has been a really awesome experience so far and everything has been really tasty. Even Mike said we should do this for all of our dinners and just make our own lunches and breakfast, so it even has the husband stamp of approval!
Luckily Mia did really well during the 2 hour long ceremony. She even flirted with the little boy in front of us! I'm in trouble for sure when she gets older!
We also found out that Amazon Prime Now has partnered with Sprouts!!! That's the only place I grocery shop these days and I was so excited to find out that they offered FREE delivery! Between Home Chef and this, I may never leave my house again for groceries...or ever!
My friend Misty and I took our fur babies out for a play date at the best dog park in the metroplex, NorthBark. If you haven't been there, you should definitely check it out! Mia had an 80s vibe going because she just HAD to wear that headband.

My friend had a surprise birthday party in Denton. Her family planned a huge party for her 50th birthday with an Elvis impersonator and all! After I left her party, I decided to go visit my Alma mater, Texas Woman's University. I actually enjoyed living on campus and have really fond memories of the dorm life.

They put up some awesome hammocks in the trees near the library. I LOVED them and wished they would have been there when I was in school! I would have been in them all day long. It was such peaceful bliss...until I realized I was being eaten by mosquitos. Womp womp.
My husband and I got married at TWU and they frequently have weddings there. I seriously contemplated crashing the one that was happening while I was there! I could have totally pulled it off, ha!
And as always here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure:
