4-Month Update

Mia is 4 months old!

Here is what Mia has been up to these days...

Her 4-month stats: 13 lbs 5 oz (40%) and 25.5 inches (80%) 

Eating

Mia is breastfed and eats every 2-3 hours during the day and cluster feeds before bedtime.  She still fights the bottle and gives her daddy a hard time when I go to work every weekend.   

Sleeping

She falls asleep sometime around 10-11 pm and has been sleeping 6-8 hours.  She will occasionally sleep 4-5 hours, but it is usually at least 6 hours these days  She starts in the swing and when she wakes up around 5-7 am, I bring her into bed to breastfeed her until she wakes up for the morning around 9 am.  She is an okay napper, but there are no complaints over here with how well she sleeps overnight.  

Bedtime routine
Our nighttime routine includes a bath, a massage with lullaby music playing, and one last feed before being put down for the night.

Favorite activities

• Talking/yelling/squealing
• Playing on her play mat/watching her mobile
• Going on walks and being outside
• Gnawing on her Sophie teethers (or anything readily available)
• Jumping! 
• Grabbing anything in arms reach
• Bath-time

Not so favorite things

• Tummy time 
• The bulb syringe
• Pacifiers 
• The car seat

Milestones

• Rolling over from tummy to back
• Rolling onto her sides from her back
• Cooing/talking/yelling/squealing/laughing
• "Stands" with someone holding her and jumps (all the time!)
• Grabs anything she can get her hands on (but has a hard time letting the object go)
• She is teething and gnaws on everything
• She has better hand eye coordination and actually "plays" with her toys now 

Personality

Mia is a very happy baby.  She talks all the time!  She has been testing her new found voice out by yelling and squealing lately.  She talks to her toys and mobile, it is really cute.  She is also always moving and loves to jump!  She is also stubborn and knows what she wants (like her mama)!
