Just breathe, Mama bird: Memorial Day/Our Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated 3 years of marriage on May 21st! My mom was going to watch Mia that day, so that we could go out, but she ended up getting sick. So we postponed the celebrations.

However, we (Mike, my mom, and I) were all off on Memorial day, so we ended up jumping on that rare opportunity and went out to celebrate our anniversary.

Mike and I went to the movie theater we frequently visited as high school kids (and have not back since until now) to watch the new X-Men movie. AMC 30 is almost 20 years old and has been run down until recently. They renovated and made it into a dinner and movie setting. It was the best movie and dinner experience we have had, we were really impressed.

Before I got pregnant, going to the movies was our thing. We would go and watch movies constantly. While I was pregnant, we went to the movies twice, so it was really nice to just go and watch a movie. We are simple people.

Mia also gave my mom, and sister, and sister-in-law a hard time with the bottle. Our Ammachi (grandma in malayalam) was the only one to get her to take her bottle, she has to keep things interesting!

We had an awesome Memorial Day, and I hope everyone else did as well. Thank you to all of the veterans for your service and sacrifice to this country!
